Morning Mantras
Updated: Jun 12, 2022
How many of you wake up in the morning and rush around to get ready for your busy day? And I mean getting straight into that flight or fight state where you feel like you have to empty the dishwasher and do unimportant jobs before you even take a moment for your well being? That's me. Guilty. Except I know better.
So, it's no coincidence that yesterday I was absolutely exhausted and this morning I am still foggy and trying to wake up even though I had extra sleep. I actually had rare energy (and I do mean it's RARE with my autoimmune disease) and I had a TON of work to be done, so I got up, and got straight to my jobs. Because I was in the mood to do so. Did I mention I had energy?
I did this KNOWING I should have taken the 15-20 minutes first thing in the morning to do my breathing, to do my visualization, to read my affirmations and mantras, and to re-set my circadian rhythm by getting sunlight first thing in the morning. Like I said, it's no coincidence that I am having a Hashimoto's flare up. And I have no one to blame but myself.
HOWEVER, I am learning that even though on the days I may be feeling better, I STILL need to take the critical time to start my day with mindfulness, even if I have to get up super early.. (Ug). It really can make or break my day, and now I have proven it to myself.
If you have taken my "Manifestations" or "Affirmations" on line classes, you will understand how life altering practicing mantras and affirmations are, and how this practice will help you manifest the life you deserve and desire. Creating your own words to meet your needs is extremely important, however, getting through this life takes help as well.
I really want to share the excellent work that Lauren Sanders does from @theiamjournal. From this link you can subscribe to receive her morning mantras direct to your email inbox each and every morning FOR FREE. She gives you the mantra, such as the one below, (which was for my day today), a brief audio prayer, and one short mantra/prayer. They are articulate, spot on, beautifully written, and somehow, miraculously, they are just what you need to hear that very day!
I am blown away at how she lovingly does all this work for free, but in my mind, she is making a difference to this world, and certainly has made a difference for me, which is why I feel compelled to share this with you.
You can also find her on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/theiamjournal/?hl=en
I wish you a mindful day full of blessings and love!
Chris
